I hope you’re doing well and had a complete recovery. Yes it’s been hard not having visitors. I haven’t seen my kids now since January. Looking forward to going home soon. My discharge date was May 29th but it’s been changed. No date given other then I’m a few weeks away from going home, not months anymore. We’ll see. Looks like I’ll get my birthday wish after all. Hoping my other wishes and recovery come in time too.

Can’t even imagine being in rehab without being able to have visitors due to GBS. Praying that you will be home for your birthday at the latest.

Wow, your husband had it bad as well. It happens so quick with GBS. He sounds like quite the fighter. Happy to hear he’s walking and continuing to keep going strong. Nothing keeps a good man down. 🙂 Proud of him, despite the struggles he kept going on. It says a lot about him.

My husband also has GBS 10 years ago. He was also totally paralyzed. He go sleeping not feeling well. Next morning he couldn’t use his hands and his legs. Was also indused coma. After four months he still was paralyzed when we go home. After 2.5 years he start warking with crutches. After 10 yrs he can walk… loses 50% of his hand use and his legs from toes to knees very weak but he is still going strong. We support so many people here in SA.

Thank you for the best wishes and my recovery from GBS. It’s hard work but I’m getting better.

I’m very sorry to hear your neighbour had Guillain Barre Syndrome. It’s an awful autoimmune disorder. It’s hard for anyone to go through. Must have been hard for him with a young family too. I’m happy to hear he has come a long way in his recovery.

I’m hoping to get home as fast as I can. Miss my family, my kids. One day at a time but I’m getting there. Hopefully I’ll be home soon.

Thanks for the best wishes, appreciate it. 🙂

Like night and day and he’s just a young man with family.
